IV Therapy FAQ

An IV (intravenous) infusion is a solution of isotonic, alkaline fluids administered by a registered nurse through a small plastic tube (catheter) inserted into a vein. The IV fluid, either 500 or 1000 milliliters, takes about 30-45 minutes for your body to absorb 100% of the solution into the bloodstream. IV infusions allow for high doses of vitamins and enzymes to be rapidly absorbed into the body
IV infusions are generally very safe, with minimal risk of potential negative side effects. Some side effects can occur, such as feeling warm, faintness, or dizziness.
Most infusions can be administered to individuals who weigh at least 100 pounds and are 5 feet or taller. Anyone under 18 requires parental consent.
The benefits of an IV treatment typically last 1-2 weeks.

All treatments are provided by a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Board-Certified Physician using the latest technology.
IV infusions take approximately 30-45 minutes to enter the body, allowing you to absorb 100% of the fluids, vitamins, and minerals.
A booster shot is an almost instantaneous injection of concentrated vitamins or enzymes delivered into muscle tissue (intramuscularly). No IV access is needed for a booster shot.
The needle size is very small; this size needle is often used on children in the hospital.
Drink plenty of water. Being well hydrated will help make it easier to start your IV. Avoid excessive amounts of coffee prior to your infusion because it can be dehydrating. Avoid foods and activities that cause dehydration prior to your infusion, such as heavy exercise, salty foods and donating blood. Make sure you arrive on time for your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may have to reschedule your infusion.
If you are planning on becoming pregnant, it is best to discuss this with your physician before starting infusions to determine the best treatment plan. If there is a chance you could be pregnant, please notify your physician or nurse as soon as possible.

We also add B12* to our Tirzepatide Treatment Plans! Why? Because it’s better!
B12* is added to alleviate the nauseous side effects that Tirzepatide can have on some patients. B12 is also a very common nutrient deficiency.
Tirzepatide has a dual approach with both GLP and GIP benefits. Dual glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist, which means it mimics the action of these incretin hormones to enhance insulin secretion, suppress glucagon release, and slow gastric emptying. This multifaceted approach helps improve blood sugar control, promotes weight loss, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular events in diabetic patients. Tirzepatide has shown promising results in clinical trials, offering a new therapeutic option for those struggling to achieve glycemic control with existing treatments.
